3 Ways to Style Your Hair in 5 Minutes

3 Ways to Style Your Hair in 5 Minutes - Miribel Naturals

Some days wearing your hair down just isn’t an option, and washing it can seem like an impossible task. I get it. Keeping up with your hair isn’t always easy, and sometimes we just don’t have hours to devote to washing, styling, and drying!

But, even with day...who knows...hair, you can still feel put together before leaving the house. Here are 3 easy ways to style your hair when wash day is out of the question:

And if you’re anything like me, you’ll put off wash day for just one more day, because you were just planning to bum around the house anyway...but...then you have an impromptu outing. Now you’re stuck with day who-knows-what hair, and you have to look human.

1. The go-to ‘do: the pineapple

The pineapple is every curly girl’s go-to ‘do. It’s so easy, and looks cute! Who doesn’t love a flop of curls on top of their head!? Truthfully, I get so many compliments when I wear my hair in a pineapple. I keep the secret that this was roll-out-of-bed-day-6-hair to myself.

If you want to kick it up a notch, try adding some faux bangs! To do this, you’ll need a headband or scarf you can tie around your head.

STEP 1: Flip head over and put curls in ponytail on top of head.
STEP 2: Pull ponytail forward so ends of hair cover forehead.
STEP 3: Tie scarf or place headband on head so that the hair on your forehead stays put.
STEP 4: Flaunt your cute self!

Personally, I love using my BizzyB Crafts headband to add an extra layer of put-togetherness to my pineapple! Best part is that these headbands actually stay on my head way longer than any others I’ve tried!

2. Get Twisty

There are so many ways you can use twists in your hair! A great way to use twists is in pigtails! Think Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.

STEP 1: Part your hair down the middle.
STEP 2: Twist right side of hair starting from the hair near your forehead, and work your way down. You’ll want to gradually pull more hair into your twist as you work your way down your head.
STEP 3: Once at the bottom of your head, use a ponytail holder or scrunchy to secure your hair.
STEP 4: Repeat on left side.

You may want/need to refresh the hair left in the pigtails that isn’t twisted. You can check out here how I use the My Soigne hair cream and flax seed gel to create a refresh spray.

If your hair can still be work down, but just the front/top layer is looking a little wonky, try twisting just the top! Have fun experimenting with different numbers of parts and twists.

3. Pony up

This one is always fun, and feels kind of like an optical illusion with your hair. Try this out if you’ve always wanted a long ponytail!

STEP 1: Part and separate hair in the center back of your head (think just above your ears)
STEP 2: Wet top layer (if necessary) of hair and comb or brush into a ponytail. Use gel as necessary.
STEP 3: Comb or brush the bottom layer of hair into a ponytail.

So, there you have it! 3 ways you can style your hair when wearing it down just isn’t an option. Have you tried any of these styles? Have other suggestions? Let me know in the comments!
